The new chief operating officer at Seneca Resources in Reston, Virginia, Rob Persiano has exceeded revenue expectations for 20-plus years at the companies he has worked for. Rob Persiano’s track record is highlighted by successful branch startups in three cities and his sales leadership training.
Prior to joining Seneca, Persiano assumed increasing responsibilities for Peoplease, which provides productivity-enhancement services for the trucking industry. Starting as a vice president for sales and then becoming the general manager of the Southeast region, he oversaw human resources and enlarged the customer base. Persiano’s region brought in revenues of $230 million, some 40 percent of the company’s overall sales.
Persiano came to Peoplease from Experis ManpowerGroup, an employment agency. As regional vice president, he spurred continuous growth, with a gross annual profit of 10 percent. For this reason, he received the company’s Circle of Stars award for six years. Additionally, Persiano enhanced Experis’ leadership position by growing the new Des Moines branch, doubling the head count in Georgia, and developing new managers. He also was a professional-services manager for Renaissance Worldwide, working from the South Florida office.
Rob Persiano earned a BS in business administration from the University of Central Florida and has studied at the graduate level at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He has also completed the Sandler sales leadership program. Other pursuits include coaching football at a private school in Georgia, tennis, motorcycles, running, weightlifting, and gardening.
